Lives and works in Orleans

/
Elvira Voynarovska is a French-Ukrainian artist born in Kyiv. She graduated from ESAD Orléans in 2019. She studied for her master’s degree in France and in Poland, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. After graduating, she travelled to the Ukrainian Carpathians before taking part in her first residency in Gdansk, where she focused her research on the haystack as an archetype of the rural world. Stozhary, Living the Landscape (2019) gave her the opportunity to establish her plastic vocabulary, the organic shapes of which shift her practice of contemporary drawing toward sculpture and installation. Since then, thanks to residencies and international projects, she has used multiple forms and approaches to carry out a transversal exploration of issues related to natural architecture and habitat.
