Biography
Born in 1994, Chloé Jeanne lives and works in Tours.
After graduating with honors from EESAB Quimper in June 2018, she undertook a postgraduate research program at ECOLAB (ESAD Orléans), which enabled her to be welcomed at the Centre de Biophysique Moléculaire (CNRS Orléans) as a guest artist.
In 2021, she was one of 21 winners of the «Planète solidaire» prize sponsored by the Art of Change 21 association and the Ruinart company. The same year, she was welcomed in residence by the Fondation LAccolade and exhibited in the group shows «Rien n’est vrai tout est vivant» at L’espace Léon Coeur Marais (Paris) and «Avenir 2050» at the Alliance Française de Malaga (Spain).
Familiar with the exploration of the living world and the silent organisms that make it up, the artist develops her research and creative work at the crossroads of art, science and design. By regularly summoning bio-materials or biological entities, she generates new forms, a singular, sensitive and sensory plastic vocabulary that enables her to construct new narratives. Through her work in close proximity to matter, the artist creates a fascinating and intimate body of work, weaving links and connecting people and spaces.
Through her work, the artist reveals what appears to be a new relationship with the world and the people around us.
Hosted in residence by the Mode d’Emploi association from December 2021 to February 2022, Chloé Jeanne is developing her «L’Effluve des fleuves» project, an experiential and sensory installation born an encounter with the Loire River. At the same time of year, she is selected for the ICART Prize, and presents her work in the group exhibitions In the heart of the Art Paris fair, in the VIP Lounge, with the support of Maison Ruinart, we present «Changement d’état des corps pur» at Galerie Horae and «Around the Laureates of the Planète Art Solitaire Prize».
